recently, i visited this beautiful cafe located in river valley. just a few minutes walk away from fort canning mrt, the cafe is located along a stretch of shops and the area was so chill and peaceful.
when i first entered the cafe, i was greeted by the staff and i was shown the different kinds of craft i can partake in making during my stay — but sadly as i was rushing for time, i did not manage to experience any craft making.
however, i did settle for some fried onion rings and two cups of drinks (iced white + iced watermelon lychee soda).
onion rings: $6.80
the onion rings were fried till golden and crispy. it was the perfect combination of sweet, savory, and it was such a crunchy delight. even better when dipped in chilli sauce.
iced flat white: $7.80
the iced flat white was a refreshing coffee indulgence, perfect for cooling down on such a hot day. the smooth espresso and creamy milk over ice was a delightful blend — my partner really enjoyed it.
iced watermelon lychee soda: $7.50
to my delight, i was able to cool off with this sparkling symphony of watermelon and lychee, it was a fizzy oasis in every sip.
if you ever find yourself in the area, i highly recommend checking out the werkx cafe. bring your family and friends along and take part in some of the creative activities they offer — candle making, pottery, leather craft and much more!
